Chrysoprase, chrysophrase or chrysoprasus is a gemstone variety of chalcedony a cryptocrystalline form of silica that contains small quantities of nickel. Its colour is normally apple green, but varies to deep green. Only chalcedony containing nickel is Chrysoprase and obtains the desired shade of green.

Beautiful Chrysoprase Rough Cutting Aussie stone. An amazing colour for a rough stone of pale apple green. Once polished it will be quite striking. This material was fossicked many years ago, the location is now closed for fossicking and local sales.
