ENHYDRO QUARTZ CRYSTAL

Enhydro is the name given to a fluid or gas bubble trapped inside a crystal.  This stunning natural smoky quartz crystal has two large bubbles – one approx. 3mm across that moves within a pocket in the crystal that is approx. 8mm across, another has a bubble of about 5mm in a triangular fluid pocket of 10mm – You can nearly see how big it is in the last picture on right, look into the triangle.  There is a lot of carbon looking material which sinks as the bubbles float.  These little bubbles are simply fascinating, it boggles the mind as to how it got there.  The liquid inside can be water, petroleum, co2,oil or others.  This Enhydro has material inside the bubble that sinks when the bubble floats up – I think it looks like carbon.  Like the liquid inside could be millions of years old.
