Rhodochrosite means rose-colored, is a very attractive mineral with an absolutely beautiful color. Display specimen qualities make it a very popular mineral. Led light emits too much white light and can taint the color. Individual crystals are found in well shaped rhombohedrons and more rarely scalahedrons.
