Tiger eye is a golden brown, chatoyant, siliceous fiber vein. Rich in quartz and iron oxides, usually with some Riebeckite. A more recent theory suggests the veins formed as fibrous quartz crystals with interspersed hematite and Riebeckite fibers, growing rapidly from the surrounding rocks during low grade metamorphism. Tiger Iron is Tiger Eye with Hematite (Iron) veins running through it and sometime has red Jasper veins too.

AMMONITE PAIR
An awesome Large Cleoniceras Ammonite Pair. Sliced and polished to perfectly display the amazing chambers inside. The pics show some well formed calcification, crystalised pockets and dendritic formation when the sun or a torch is shone through. There is a reasonable show of irredecnce on the outside faces, hmm pretty cool specimens of high quality. This is a natural prehistoric fossil specimen, they never cease to amaze me. An amazing artifact and a close example of the Fibonacci sequence. A super and ancient gift for the natural history enthusiast. These Cleoniceras Ammonites are from the middle of the Cretaceous period which was between 145.5 and 65.5 million years ago!
