QUARTZ CHLORITE NEEDLE 2
An outstanding must have Quartz Chlorite Needle. Unusual formation of a very thin double terminated Quartz Needle. In ancient times these were used as Tattoo Needles and as Acupuncture Needles. This crystal is slightly curved and intersected with another partial crystal mounted on a perspex stand.

An amazing Himalayan quartz cluster almost totally covered with Chlorite, inside and out! Many small quartz crystals line the main two crystals. There is one point that has clear quartz showing along with the characteristic chlorite formations inside. This is a classic from Nepal, one of many great minerals from the Himalayan range. This specimen has only just been released from our private collection.

AUSSIE SMOKY QUARTZ CRYSTAL
Check out this lovely natural Aussie Smoky Quartz Crystal. It has good sharp sides, good terminations, super lovely dark colour and form. Smoky Quartz is the favourite variety of quartz for many people due to its colour and properties. This crystal has two main points, almost a complete double terminated with a small section missing at the back.

FERBERITE MINERAL SPECIMEN
Awesome Specimen with minor Quartz to add to your collection. An uncommon metal Crystal showing good terminations and classic striated faces. The Ferberite Crystal has a few small Quartz Crystals penetrating the side faces. Ferberite is an ore of Tungsten. Tungsten is used to fake Gold bars coated with a thin layer of real Gold. That is because Tungsten has the same specific gravity as gold does. The best way to test for this type of fakery is to drill a very small hole in the bar. Thus the specimen feels heavy to hold just like Gold.

An amazing cluster of Himalayan Rutilated Quartz Albite from high in the Nepalese Himalayas. A great, rustic cluster with several perfect crystals with inclusions of minerals, rutile, chlorite and perhaps others. The matrix on this piece is feldspar and chlorite. There is a broken crystal on the cluster. An amazing example of Nepali quartz, we source our crystals direct from Nepali miners.

A rustic Quartz Sphalerite Cluster for the collection. This specimen has a few dings but is an interesting specimen with its Sphalerite, Galena and Chalcopyrite inclusions. Many small Sphalerite crystals are ‘sprinkled’ among the quartz crystals, some on or inside the quartz. The Galena appears with the Sphalerite in a couple of different forms. One photo shows how what may initially appear as a Galena crystal is actually translucent green Sphalerite. This is Cleiophane and note the crystal has been backlit to show the colour. A great piece!
