A super good quality polished Dendritic Agate Merlinite Slab. It is known by many names, common opal, opalite, dendritic agate and Merlinite for the more poetic among us. This is old stock and really is a better quality than most available at present, with some transparency. Polished both sides and a reasonable thickness for working into a lovely Aussie pendant or other jewellery item.

Good Black Jade Nephrite Slab. Polishes to a very high luster, which is perfect for creating stunning quality Black Jade mirror finish jewellery and pendants. This material will polish to a stunning black luster. Nephrite Jade is the toughest of all naturally occurring materials. Nephrite Jade has been used from ancient times as jewellery, tools and weapons. This particular Slab is Top grade and the blackest of black jade – basically the best you can get. I believe it was mined in the 1970’s from Cowell.

Beautiful Chrysoprase Rough Cutting Aussie stone. An amazing colour for a rough stone of pale apple green. Once polished it will be quite striking. Usually reserved for jewellers, quality specimens like this are hard to come by and attract high prices. A great Aussie Gemstone. At 140g this is a larger specimen and worthy for any collection, but I think it will be made into jewellery. Some of the photos shown are back-lit with a torch to show the depth of colour and quality.

Large Chrysoprase Chunk Specimen with great green colour. It is translucent showing the grain, colour banding and slightly porous. Great for carving or as a brightly apple coloured mineral specimen. This is from very old stock. Stunning. Two flat cut faces really shows the interior of this Chrysoprase.

Chrysoprase, chrysophrase or chrysoprasus is a gemstone variety of chalcedony a cryptocrystalline form of silica that contains small quantities of nickel. The best colour is apple green which imitates Imperial Jade from Asia, but varies from deep green, blue grey to lemon. The darker varieties are called prase.
