A lovely natural cluster of Spessartine Garnet Smoky Quartz crystals. An uncommon colour of Garnet Crystals from an old collection. Some fluoresces bright green under filtered long wave UV light. The matrix is Feldspar Orthoclase.

Large Chrysoprase Chunk Specimen with great green colour. It is translucent showing the grain, colour banding and slightly porous. Great for carving or as a brightly apple coloured mineral specimen. Chrysoprase, chrysophrase or chrysoprasus is a gemstone variety of chalcedony a cryptocrystalline form of silica that contains small quantities of nickel. The best colour is apple green which imitates Imperial Jade from Asia, but varies from deep green, blue grey to lemon. The darker varieties are called prase.
An excellent specimen of Rhodonite Crystals on Galena. Several gemmy red crystals of Rhodonite sit among cubic Galena crystals. The matrix is a mix of the two minerals, featuring many crystals. Specimens of this quality are uncommon and getting harder to come by. This is a classic, collectable Australian Mineral from a well known location. Mounted on perspex for ideal display.

A colourless variety of Opal. Hyalite is opal, an amorphous silica glass containing about 3-8% water. Hyalite occurs as globular and botryoidal masses and irregular crusts. Found in volcanic and pegmatite environments where the silica deposits from the gas phase. It often shows a strong green fluorescence in UV light.
