A Sea Urchin Echinoid from Australia. This is quite an attractive piece, great for a collector of Australian Sea Fossils. A real bargain too.
Sea Urchins are a group of marine invertebrates that today can be found in almost every major marine habitat from the poles to the equator and from the intertidal zone to depths of more than 5,000 metres. There are around 800 extant species and the group has a long and detailed fossil record stretching back about 450 million years ago.

Blue Amber Specimen or fossil tree sap. Amber is a beautiful stone that is cut and polished and used as a valuable gemstone. It is also a fossil and can contain many preserved insects and other animals and plants that are tens of millions of years old. This specimen fluoresces electric blue under LW UV light. It looks brown under normal light. Age is the early Oligocene period and is of Sinamar Formation approximately 30 million years old. Some photos are take with back lighting, natural indoor and UV Long Wave. One side is polished and the other is rough.

We do have a large fossil of a Woolly Mammoth Rib Bone for sale, some pics below. The Mammoth Rib Bone is in good condition and has been sealed. The Mammoth Bone has a business card in one photo to show size of 500mm long. This is a rare specimen and the price is $960. The specimen has been front display in our shop for a short period of time.
