RAINBOW FLUORITE
RAINBOW FLUORITE
Large thick slice of Rainbow Fluorite. Fluorite is one of our most popular minerals, loved by young and old. It is rare to get a piece with so many colours altogether. The front and back are polished and either end has been left unpolished which is a nice touch. A great piece to add colour to the collection, and quite rare to find as this type of fluorite is uncommon and used for carvings or jewellery when it is available.

TOP ROGERLEY FLUORITE CLUSTER
TOP ROGERLEY FLUORITE CLUSTER
Specimen of Top Rogerley Fluorite Cluster from Weardale. We have held the price down on this one so it is very affordable and can be tucked away into your collection for safe keeping. This cluster has good crystal coverage on top, with well formed, clear crystals. We have taken photos indoors, outside and also under long wave ultraviolet light. Some pics show small Galena Crystals on the Fluorite Crystals. This particular specimen shows great daylight fluorescence. Grab a piece of geological history now and spend hours admiring the amazing cubic form and fluorescent properties of this great English mineral specimen. We have stocked this incredible green Fluorite since we first started dealing minerals many moons ago. We stock a range of pieces from different pockets at the mine. The mine has now closed down and pieces like this are already rising in value. Our photos do no justice to this top quality specimen, it was hard to show the deep forest green of the Fluorite due to high daylight fluorescence. Some pics look a little washed out under direct sunlight. Just couldn’t capture the brilliant translucent emerald green colour of this stunning specimen.

FLUORITE CRYSTAL ROGERLEY
FLUORITE CRYSTAL ROGERLEY
Stunning cute specimen Fluorite Crystal Rogerley. Three pics indoor (green), outdoor (green and blue) and LW UV light (blue). Fluorite from the Rogerley Mine is highly sought after for its daylight fluorescence and the top quality crystals it forms. This piece is no exception, showing a stunning emerald green colour indoors and turning electric blue when under UV light and some where in between in day light (as the sun naturally radiates UV light). The daylight fluorescence is particularly marked in overcast weather, but very noticeable in any conditions. Photos are taken both indoors and under Long Wave UV light. This Crystal has good Cubic form with a penetrating twin.

ROGERLEY MINE FLUORITE CLUSTER
A beautiful, Rogerley Mine Fluorite Cluster. Featuring well formed crystals and a lovely deep emerald like green which changes to electric blue under UV light or blue green in natural light. This is spectacular stuff and very collectible, coming from the only mine in England to operate purely for mineral specimens. There is limited material from this pocket. This specimen is spectacular and would show better Blue colour with an overcast sky, a blue sky has more white light which tends to wash out the blue colour effect from UV light. Three photos taken outdoor show some Blue Daylight Fluorescence, though it is usually more apparent in more overcast weather. The two bluest photos were taken under long wave ultraviolet light in a normally lit room during the day.

The daylight fluorescence is suspected to be caused by the inclusion of Rare Earth Elements (REE), minerals including phosphates (monazite and xenotime) and fluorocarbonates (mainly synchysite).

OCTAHEDRAL FLUORITE CLUSTER
OCTAHEDRAL FLUORITE CLUSTER
A stunning Octahedral Fluorite Cluster! Natural octahedral crystals in purple and with a green tinge on a white matrix. The underside of the specimen is a beautiful light green. This would be most suited as a cabinet specimen as too much handling will cause the fine white crystals to become dislodged. The colour contrast is beautiful on this piece and the rarer crystal shape make this a great find. We have seen some quite spectacular specimens from this mine and this is definitely one of them!

SMALL ROGERLEY MINE FLUORITE CLUSTER
A Small Rogerley Mine Fluorite Cluster from Weardale. We have held the price down on this one so it is very affordable and can be tucked away into your collection for safe keeping. This cluster has two prominent crystals. This particular specimen is not as daylight fluorescent as most but still has colour change. Grab a piece of geological history now and spend hours admiring the amazing cubic form and fluorescent properties of this great English mineral specimen. Like we do! We have stocked this incredible green Fluorite since we first started dealing minerals many moons ago. We stock a range of pieces from different pockets at the mine. PURPLE FLUORITE CLUSTER
A striking specimen of Purple Fluorite Cluster on a white Quartz matrix. A gorgeous large cluster of cubo-octahedral Fluorite crystals of deep raspberry purple. Shows off the best colour with the sun behind it, most photos are outdoors. Some call this mineral Globular Purple Fluorite.

RARE ROGERLEY FLUORITE
RARE ROGERLEY FLUORITE
A beautiful plate of rare Rogerley Fluorite. Deep forest green indoors, changing to a translucent bright blue green outside. This specimen is covered with sharp cubic crystals including several twins. An especially stunning piece, my photos don’t do it any justice. This Fluorite only comes from one mine in the world which is producing less material each year and recently ceased operations. It is daylight fluorescent which is rare and exotic in itself, along with being fluorescent under UV longwave light (the bright blue pic). RocknCrystals are well known for stocking this rare mineral, we have done so since we first started out as mineral dealers many moons ago. We have specimens from several pockets at the mine. Photos taken indoors, outdoors and indoor under longwave ultraviolet light. This Fluorite is an excellent investment and will be a treasured specimen in any collectors cabinet.
