FLUORITE PURPLE YELLOW
Great clusters of lovely Fluorite Purple Yellow Crystals. There are two of them one Purple and the other is Yellow. I did not want to separate them as they look like the have similar collection catalogue numbers attached. Strikingly coloured and quite different to many of the other fluorite specimens collectors tend to have. The Yellow is 1014337 and the Purple is 1012441. The location for the Purple Fluorite is missing, the Yellow specimen comes from Spain. Stunning little examples of Fluorite with really good Cubic Crystals.

PURPLE GLOBULAR FLUORITE
A striking large specimen of Purple Globular Fluorite on a white matrix. This form has proven very popular around the world since it first appeared. It demonstrates why fluorite is such a popular stone, with the variety of shapes and colours it presents in. While it is globular, it still shows a few cubic faces. Love it!

ROGERLEY MINE FLUORITE CLUSTER BLUE
ROGERLEY MINE FLUORITE CLUSTER BLUE
A beautiful cluster of daylight-fluorescent Rogerley Mine Fluorite Cluster Blue Birds Pocket. This stunning fluorite cluster comes from “Bluebirds Pocket” Zone #2 in the world famous Rogerley Mine in England. It is super- fluorescent, with a bright blue shining through in daylight! My photos don’t do it justice. Featuring several twinned crystals and a lovely deep emerald-like green which changes to electric blue under UV light or sunlight. This is spectacular stuff and very collectible, coming from the only mine in England to operate purely for mineral specimens. There is limited material from this pocket. This specimen is spectacular and would show better Blue colour with an overcast sky, a blue sky has more white light which tends to wash out the blue colour effect from UV light. Three photos taken outdoor show some Blue Daylight Fluorescence, though it is usually more apparent in more overcast weather. The two bluest photos were taken under long wave ultraviolet light in a normally lit room during the day.
ROGERLEY MINE FLUORITE
Fluorite from the Rogerley Mine is highly sought after for its daylight fluorescence and the top quality crystals it forms. This piece is no exception, showing a stunning emerald green colour indoors and turning electric blue when under UV light and some where in between in day light (as the sun naturally radiates UV light). The daylight fluorescence is particularly marked in overcast weather, but very noticeable in any conditions. Photos are taken both indoors, under Long Wave light.
The daylight fluorescence is suspected to be caused by the inclusion of Rare Earth Elements (REE), minerals including phosphates (monazite and xenotime) and fluorocarbonates (mainly synchysite).

RAINBOW FLUORITE SLAB
A Large and Thick Rainbow Fluorite Slab. Fluorite is one of our most popular minerals, loved by young and old. It is rare to get a piece with so many colours altogether. The front and back are polished. A great piece to add colour to the collection, and quite rare to find as this type of fluorite is uncommon and used for carvings or jewellery when it is available. Aesthetically outstanding when back lit by natural sun or electric light. This is the best specimen offered and it is from the Private Collection. This piece looks Magnificent it really is outstanding.

Calcium Fluoride.Fluorite is from the Latin noun meaning a stream or to flow. Fluorite is used as a flux when smelting metals to help the slag rise to the top and give better fluidity to the molten metal. Fluorescence is a word derived from Fluorite as Fluorite was the first mineral to be observed Fluorescing.

TOP ROGERLEY FLUORITE CLUSTER
TOP ROGERLEY FLUORITE CLUSTER
Specimen of Top Rogerley Fluorite Cluster from Weardale. We have held the price down on this one so it is very affordable and can be tucked away into your collection for safe keeping. This cluster has good crystal coverage on top, with well formed, clear crystals. We have taken photos indoors, outside and also under long wave ultraviolet light. Some pics show small Galena Crystals on the Fluorite Crystals. This particular specimen shows great daylight fluorescence. Grab a piece of geological history now and spend hours admiring the amazing cubic form and fluorescent properties of this great English mineral specimen. We have stocked this incredible green Fluorite since we first started dealing minerals many moons ago. We stock a range of pieces from different pockets at the mine. The mine has now closed down and pieces like this are already rising in value. Our photos do no justice to this top quality specimen, it was hard to show the deep forest green of the Fluorite due to high daylight fluorescence. Some pics look a little washed out under direct sunlight. Just couldn’t capture the brilliant translucent emerald green colour of this stunning specimen.
