MALACHITE PSEUDOMORPH AZURITE
A rare mineral specimen of Malachite Pseudomorph after Azurite. You can see that the Malachite is not in one of its natural forms, but instead is more like Azurite. A pseudomorph is when one mineral is chemically replaced by another mineral without changing the external form of the original mineral. In this case the Malachite has replaced the original Azurite mineral. Bright flashes of green from chatoyancy striations of the Malachite. Azurite shows good forms of chisel top tabular prismatic crystals jutting out from the matrix. Very collectible piece, both for it is a pseudomorph and a rare mineral from a great location. An excellent gift or treat for the mineral collector and a must for the Collection. For enhanced display is mounted on perspex pad, ready to go straight into your cabinet.

BLUE QUARTZ CRYSTALS
An amazing cluster of rare Blue Quartz Crystals. Featuring very well formed crystals, clustered over a chunk of rock. This is a rare mineral specimen and a must for any quartz collection. Blue Quartz crystals are Dipyramidal shape. Dipyramidal Crystals don’t form the more common upright quartz clusters most people associate with quartz. The blue colouration is due to inclusions of Magnesioriebeckite. This is old stock and a must have for the quartz or mineral collector.

BLACK JADE SPHERE
A beautiful highly polished Black Jade Sphere. With a reflective surface like a mirror, you can see my reflection taking the photos. This is a Nephrite Black Jade Sphere from Western Australia. Jade is one of the many mineral treasures found in this vast land of Australia. These are not readily available and we never know if we can source more. It is iron impurities that adds the intense blackness to this jade. An essential for any jade or Aussie mineral collection. Great properties all round. Difficult to photograph with its highly reflective surface. Due to the very fine tight knit grain it takes one of the highest polishes of any stone. This sphere has a few characteristic white marks often visible in nephrite jade.
